Gene
Carbonaro has been teaching at Long Beach City College
for 19 years, sixteen years full-time and
three years part-time. Mr. Carbonaro was born in Brooklyn,
New York and moved to California in 1980 to attend school.
He is married and has four children ages 20, 16, 14, and
11. Mr. Carbonaro’s wife is a Counselor with the Long
Beach Unified School District.
Mr.
Carbonaro owned and operated two Togo’s in the South
Bay for more than 12 years. The business world kept him very
busy. He enjoyed the business world because it allows him to
share real life situations with his classes. He is able to
incorporate current business practices into his courses.

Carbonaro teaches CAOTC 34, CAOTC 35, CAOTT 200, and teaches
